# Claude signs in to Gatlas on a Gatlas page

Add Gatlas as a custom connector in claude.ai or Claude Desktop and authorize it on a Gatlas page, with no key in the URL.

In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, add a custom connector with the Gatlas server URL. Claude opens a Gatlas page where you paste the key from your setup link and choose Authorize, so the key goes to Gatlas, not into a URL or the chat. An admin signed in to Gatlas can authorize without a key, which creates a new connection. The connector uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the way your agent connects to Gatlas.
