# Your agent builds artifacts from your datasets

Ask for charts and tables, and your agent lays them out as an artifact you open or share.

Ask your agent for a page of charts, big numbers, tables and text, and it builds an artifact over your published datasets with `create_artifact`, a tool of the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the way your agent connects to Gatlas. A read-only connection cannot build one. Open it under Artifacts in the sidebar and hover a chart to read its values. In the dashboard, admins copy each artifact's share link, which anyone can open without signing in.
