# Your agent renames and deletes artifacts

Your agent can rename an artifact, retag it, hide it from your agents' list, and delete it once it has shown you what goes with it.

Over the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the way your agent connects to Gatlas, `edit_artifact` renames an artifact, changes the companies it is tagged with, and hides it from your agents' artifact list or shows it again. `describe_artifact` returns each component in the form `edit_artifact` takes. `delete_artifact` deletes nothing without `confirm: true`: it reports what would go, so your agent can show you first. On a connection you create on the MCP page, editing and deleting need Read/write, and deleting also needs Companies set to All companies.
