# Slack: add the Gatlas agent to your workspace

Add the Gatlas agent to Slack from Gatlas, or send the install to a Slack admin, then decide who may ask it questions.

The Gatlas agent answers questions in Slack from your Gatlas data, read-only, and names the view behind every figure and when it last synced. Admins and above add it with Add to Slack on the agent's page in Gatlas. If you cannot install apps there, send the install to a Slack admin as a link: it works once, for seven days, and needs no Gatlas account. Whoever installs it gets a direct message on how to start. Then decide who may ask it: everyone in the workspace, or only the members of channels you pick.
