# Artifacts: download as PDF and keep numbered editions

2026-10-12 | new | artifacts, agents | https://www.gatlas.ai/changelog/2026-10-12-pdf-download-and-editions

Every artifact downloads as a PDF, and a deck or document can be frozen as a numbered edition with its own link and PDF.

Every artifact has Download PDF, on its page and on its share link. Admins and above can freeze a deck or document as a numbered edition: its layout and every number stay as they were, at a link that needs no sign-in, with its own PDF. Withdrawing one stops its link and its PDF for everyone. Your agent can make one with `create_edition` over a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connection, the way your agent connects to Gatlas, that reaches your whole organization and can make changes.

Use it to:

- Send a board pack as a PDF without printing it from the browser.
- Send a monthly report as a numbered edition that stays the same after it is sent.
