# Shopify: connect with your Dev Dashboard app's client ID and secret

Connect Shopify with an app you create in Shopify's Dev Dashboard, and send a setup link without looking up the store first.

Connect Shopify with a small app you create in Shopify's Dev Dashboard: paste its client ID and client secret, and Gatlas requests its own access from them. The guide lists every read-only scope to add, draft orders included, and says to keep the app installed. A Shopify setup link no longer needs the store: whoever opens it enters the store, or pastes their Shopify admin address. Stores already connected keep syncing as they are. Admins and above connect sources, and so can someone you send a setup link to.
