Agent tools: faster search across your synced files
The ranking behind search_documents went from seconds to milliseconds on production queries.
Your agent's search_documents calls over the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the way your agent connects to Gatlas, come back sooner. On the production queries we measured, the ranking that finds passages in your synced files took 7.4 to 8.6 s and now takes 310 to 360 ms. Across a whole organization, the part that matches by meaning went from 331 ms to 72 ms. It works on every connection and searches only the companies the connection covers.
