Starting a new workspace

Starting a new workspace. Gatlas blog, Oct 19, 2026. A drawing: a plate for each kind of company data hovers over one company.

Sign-up leads straight to your agent: add Gatlas to it, paste one prompt, and start from a workspace whose company is already made.

A new Gatlas workspace starts by connecting your agent. You paste one prompt, and your agent offers the next step for your business.

Connect first

Sign-up leads to two steps: add Gatlas to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Claude Code, then paste one prompt into a new chat. Workspace admins and owners connect this way. Anyone else pastes a key an admin made for them.

In Claude, an admin has no key to copy. Add to Claude opens Claude's connector form with Gatlas filled in. Someone you send an agent key's setup link to authorizes Claude with one choice instead of a pasted key, and needs no Gatlas account.

One prompt

After the prompt, your agent says what Gatlas can do for your business and offers the next step. That can be a setup link for your tools, which works for 7 days without a Gatlas account. Anything more waits for your yes.

Over the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the way your agent connects to Gatlas, the same prompt is also gatlas_get_started.

One company

A new workspace starts with its company already made, named after the workspace. While you have only that one, the dashboard and setup stop asking which company, and your agent speaks of your business. Add a second company and the company pickers and lists come back.

Overview as home

The dashboard opens on Overview. For an admin, it starts with the same two steps while the workspace has no source, and drops them once your agent is connected and a source is in. Needs attention lists the sources, companies and setup links to check.

Ask about every company from your own agent

Create your workspace and connect your agent. It helps you send each company a setup link for the tools it runs.
