Connecting Sources
How to connect each data source to Gatlas.
How connectors work
Gatlas supports two authentication types:
- OAuth: click Connect and authorize in the provider's UI. No keys to copy.
- API key: paste a key or connection string from the provider's settings.
After connecting, Gatlas discovers all available data streams (tables) and syncs them automatically. You don't need to configure individual tables: everything available gets pulled in.
Tip
You can send a setup link to someone at the portfolio company. They connect their own accounts without needing a Gatlas login. See Delegated setup below.
OAuth connectors
These connectors use OAuth. Click Connect on the Sources page, authorize in the provider's interface, and you're done.
QuickBooks
Sync invoices, customers, bills, payments, and chart of accounts from QuickBooks Online.
Click Connect on the Sources page and authorize in QuickBooks's interface. No API keys needed.
HubSpot
Sync contacts, companies, deals, tickets, and engagement data from HubSpot CRM.
Click Connect on the Sources page and authorize in HubSpot's interface. No API keys needed.
Xero
Sync accounting data including invoices, contacts, accounts, bank transactions, and more.
Click Connect on the Sources page and authorize in Xero's interface. No API keys needed.
e-conomic
Import invoices, customers, products, and journal entries from Visma e-conomic.
Click Connect on the Sources page and authorize in e-conomic's interface. No API keys needed.
Google Sheets
Sync any Google Sheets spreadsheet as a table in your data warehouse.
Click Connect on the Sources page and authorize in Google Sheets's interface. No API keys needed.
You'll authorize access to your Google Drive. Gatlas only reads the specific spreadsheets you select.
Google Drive
Pull documents from selected Drive folders into your unstructured raw layer.
Click Connect on the Sources page and authorize in Google Drive's interface. No API keys needed.
You'll authorize read-only access to your Google Drive, then pick which folders to sync. Everything inside a selected folder (including subfolders) is copied into your document layer; files are never modified or deleted in Drive.
Google Analytics 4
Pull sessions, page views, events, and traffic source data from GA4 properties.
Click Connect on the Sources page and authorize in Google Analytics 4's interface. No API keys needed.
If you have multiple properties, you can select which one to sync after connecting.
Google Ads
Sync campaigns, ad groups, keywords, search terms, and performance metrics.
Click Connect on the Sources page and authorize in Google Ads's interface. No API keys needed.
If you have multiple accounts, you can select which one to sync after connecting.
API key connectors
These connectors require an API key or connection string. You'll find the credentials in the provider's settings.
Shopify
Sync orders, customers, products, inventory, and payouts from your Shopify store.
Create a custom app in your Shopify Dev Dashboard (dev.shopify.com), grant it the read-only scopes shown in the connect form, install it on your store, and paste the Admin API access token (shpat_...) plus your shop domain into Gatlas. The full step-by-step guide with the copyable scope list is built into the connect form. Requirements and caveats: you need the store owner account or a staff account with the App development permission (collaborator accounts can't create apps); customer name/email/address fields require the Grow plan or higher; the token is shown only once by Shopify and can't be rotated: delete and recreate the app to rotate it.
Stripe
Pull charges, customers, subscriptions, invoices, and payouts from Stripe.
Find your API key in Stripe Dashboard → Developers → API keys. Use a restricted key with read-only access.
PostgreSQL / Supabase
Pull tables directly from any PostgreSQL database or Supabase project.
Enter your database connection string. The connection goes directly to your Postgres database.
Attio
Sync CRM data including companies, people, deals, notes, and tasks.
Find your API key in Attio → Settings → Developers.
PostHog
Sync product analytics including events, persons, feature flags, cohorts, and insights.
Your profile → Personal API Keys → create a key with read access. (Not the Project API key: phc_... keys are write-only and can't read data.)
Notion
Sync databases and users from Notion workspaces.
Create an integration at notion.so/my-integrations, then share the relevant databases with it.
Traede
Fashion & lifestyle ERP — orders, invoices, credit notes, products, customers, inventory, shipments.
Log into app.traede.com as the user whose data should be synced, then go to Settings → API Keys and click Create new key. Paste the value here. Traede labels it an “API Key”, but it's an access token. Tokens inherit that user's permissions, so use a service account with read access to the streams you need.
Lattice
Sync people and org data — users, departments, goals, goal updates, review cycles, and tags.
A Lattice admin generates the key under Admin → Platform → API keys; it inherits that admin's permissions. Pick the data-residency region your workspace lives in (US or EMEA): a key only works against its own region's host. Gatlas syncs users, departments, goals, goal updates, review-cycle metadata and tags; peer feedback and written performance reviews are never read.
Cal.com
Sync bookings, event types, and availability schedules from Cal.com.
Create an API key in Cal.com → Settings → Developer → API keys. A key sees what its owner sees: choose Personal scope to sync your own bookings, or Organization scope (requires Cal.com's Organizations plan, a key from an organization admin, and your organization ID) to sync every member's bookings. Gatlas checks the chosen scope when you connect.
Delegated setup
Don't have credentials for a portfolio company's tools? Send them a setup link instead.
- Go to Sources and click Generate Setup Link.
- Pick the entity and select which sources they need to connect.
- Optionally enter the recipient's email. They'll get a notification when the link is ready.
- Share the link. The recipient can connect their own accounts directly, without needing a Gatlas login or any access to your organization.
Note
Setup links expire after 30 days. You can revoke them at any time from the Sources page.
