Files
Board packs, memos, contracts and meeting notes, synced from each company's drive as they are. Agents can search them, and brief prompts read them to write briefs.
Sync files from Google Drive, SharePoint or OneDrive
Connect the source
Open Add a source, under Sources in the sidebar, pick Google Drive or SharePoint and OneDrive (and, with several companies, the company it belongs to), and sign in. Gatlas reads the locations you choose and never changes or deletes a file. SharePoint usually needs a Microsoft 365 admin to approve Gatlas first. You can also send a setup link to the person who owns the files. See Connecting sources for both.
Pick the folders
For Google Drive, tick the folders to sync. A ticked folder includes every folder inside it, so open a folder only to pick part of it. If a folder is not listed, for example one in a shared drive, paste its link.
For SharePoint and OneDrive, pick your OneDrive or open a site to see its libraries. A selected library or folder includes every folder inside it, so open a library only to pick part of it. Search finds sites the account does not follow.
Then save with the Sync button, which counts what you picked. The source does not sync until you pick at least one.
Check what arrived in Files
Every file in a selected location, subfolders included, lands in Files. Google Docs, Sheets and Slides are converted to text. PDF, Word, PowerPoint and Excel files are stored as they are and read when a brief prompt needs them. Files over 50 MB are skipped, and so are OneNote notebooks, shortcuts, Loop files and files protected by a sensitivity label. Files with no text in them, such as images, sync but count as Unreadable. Open a skipped or unreadable file to see why and what to do next.
Note
Find a file
Files, under Library in the sidebar, lists every synced file by company and tool. Each tool's heading counts all of its files; when a list shows only the newest, choose Show more. Search finds any file by name, path, company or tool, and the status filter narrows the list to synced, skipped or deleted files.
Choose Open on a synced file to open the copy Gatlas stored. The tiles above the list count every file: Readable ones brief prompts can read, Unreadable ones with no text in them, and Skipped ones never fetched from the source.
Ask about files in Claude
Agents can search the files of the companies their key holds, then read the one that answers:
Find the latest Northwind board pack and tell me what it says about hiring.
A file is read as it was synced, with nobody checking it first, so treat a search result as a lead to check, not a count. For the context agents should read every time, write a brief from the files.
From files to briefs
A brief prompt reads a company's files, and can read its briefs and approved datasets too, then writes a short brief agents read first: a company overview, a decisions log, the definitions behind your KPIs. See Briefs.
